Calling all Stitchers!

On Tuesday, January 3rd, the first meeting of the "Scottsmoor Stitchers" will be held in the Scottsmoor Meeting Hall from 6:30 until everyone wants to go home.

This activity is open to anyone who enjoys fiber-arts activities such as....
knitting needlepoint rug hooking
crochet macrame spinning
embroidery weaving quilting
cross stitch

…. and who would enjoy doing it with others who have the same interests. We'll stitch, drink coffee and tea, maybe eat cookies, talk and laugh. Even if you are a beginner, please join us. There will probably be someone who can advise you on getting started or help with your project. However, this will not be a beginning fiber-arts class!
Following this initial meeting, we will continue to meet weekly on Tuesday evenings to enjoy our hobbies and friendship.

For more information, contact Bobbie Partain at partainb@yahoo.com

Guide to the Game
What is geocaching?

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.

How is the game played?

At its simplest level, geocaching requires these 8 steps:

Register for a free Basic Membership. At geocaching.com.........
Visit the "Hide & Seek a Cache" page.
Enter your postal code and click "search."
Choose any geocache from the list and click on its name.
Enter the coordinates of the geocache into your GPS Device.
Use your GPS device to assist you in finding the hidden geocache.
Sign the logbook and return the geocache to its original location.
Share your geocaching stories and photos online.
What are the rules of geocaching?

What do I need to go geocaching?

The only necessities are a GPS device or a GPS-enabled mobile phone so that you can navigate to the cache..
