Today Scottsmoor entered it’s Christmas float into the annual Mims Christmas Parade, hosted by the Mims Volunteer Fire Department, pulled by a former Scottsmoor Fire Department pickup truck. Volunteers threw candy from the float as it joined with dozens of others rolling through downtown Mims.
This year, Scottsmoor took one of 6 awards in the parade: Best non-commercial float. We would like to thank the Mims Volunteer Fire Department for putting on the event, and we would also like to thank Jake Bullington for driving the truck, and Rose McGinnis, Gina Prudhomme and Randy Rich for decorating the float.
Anyone from Scottsmoor is welcome to ride the float with us, so if you would like to join us next year let us know!
