Today the Scottsmoor Community Association, working hand-in-hand with Hummingbird food pantry, put on our second food distribution day. We served over 200 local families by providing them with grocery items donated by local stores and food banks. Collectively we had over 20 volunteers that were bringing in pallets, loading and unloading boxes, bagging food, and placing it into the vehicles of those in need.

Originally, we were supposed to host this event at the Scottsmoor Meeting Hall like last time, but we had a hurricane off the coast of Florida and with all the extra work that has to be done in the building before and after the day of hosting this event, we found an alternate location.
One of our web sponsors, North Brevard RV, located right on US1 in Mims offered their parking lot which worked out perfectly.
